Meet Jamie & the J&Z Team

At J&Z Fencing Cardiff, we are a local family-run business built on hard work, trust, and years of hands-on experience within the construction and fencing industry across Cardiff and South Wales.

Founded by Jamie and Zak, the company was created with the aim of delivering reliable, high-quality fencing and outdoor property services with a personal approach. We take pride in treating every project as if it were our own home, whether it’s a small garden fence repair or a full commercial installation.

Jamie spent five years working alongside his father-in-law, Chris Case, before setting up the business independently. Chris is an award-winning builder with decades of experience in the construction industry and still works closely with the team through our sister company, J&Z Property Maintenance, helping deliver larger building and property maintenance projects throughout South Wales.

Zak co-owns both businesses and brings a strong construction background to the company. Holding City & Guilds qualifications in construction, he worked with a range of established construction companies for many years before becoming self-employed and helping grow the family business into what it is today.

As a business, we believe in building a strong team and investing in the next generation. We currently employ two full-time team members, Gareth and James, who have both been with us for over two years. Between them, they bring more than 30 years of construction industry experience and are valued members of the company known for their professionalism, reliability, and quality workmanship.

Family is a huge part of our business. Jamie’s son, Logan, currently works with us three days a week while studying carpentry in college. At just 17 years old, he is already developing strong practical skills and gaining valuable real-world experience within the trade.

Zak’s daughter, Amelia, aged 16, has recently finished school and also works alongside the team three days a week, learning the trade and developing hands-on experience within the industry.

Together, we have built a company that combines experience, skilled workmanship, and family values. Our goal is simple — to provide honest advice, quality workmanship, and a service customers can trust from start to finish.
